My name is Emma Ahmed and I am originally from England. I have lived and worked overseas for over sixteen years in four countries as well as at home in the UK and I love teaching internationally.
Following best practice developed from learning science, leading authors, action research and cognitive coaching, my vision is to be a supportive change agent who amplifies good teaching. I am a confidential, non-judgemental source of support, challenging colleagues to review and continuously refine teaching, learning and assessment, supporting students to achieve the school’s guiding statements. I am inspired by coaching authors such as Elena Aguilar, Joellen Killion, Jim Knight, Steve Barkley and Dianne Sweeney. My goal is to create a culture of learning and support stakeholders using the most appropriate form to meet their needs.
In my spare time I like to create henna designs, cook and read novels. I also spend time with my husband and three children, Zaine, Nadeem and Amiya, who love exploring as much as me!
